Touch DIMMER for LED and other light sources. 230V sensor insert.
Product information "Touch DIMMER for LED and other light sources. 230V sensor insert."
High-Quality 230V Touch Sensor with Integrated Universal Dimmer
High-quality 230V touch sensor with integrated universal dimmer. Allows for easy replacement of traditional 230V rocker switches. The device remains hidden behind the touch panel and responds to finger proximity (touch panel must be ordered separately).
- Made in EU.
- Warranty: 5 years (see warranty statement).
- Proven technology with thousands of successful applications over the years.
Functionality:
A brief tap toggles between on and off, applying the last set brightness level. Tapping and holding adjusts the brightness smoothly from dim to bright and back until released.Installation / Technical Details:
- This sensor must be installed individually in a wall box (due to heat generation). It must not be installed together with a second sensor in the same wall box.
- Installation in standard round flush-mounted or cavity wall boxes.
- Required depth of wall box: At least 45 mm.
- 3-wire connection: Neutral wire required.
- Integrated LED, blue, constantly illuminated.
- Very low power consumption in standby mode: 24 mA @ 230Vac (0.6 W)
- Touch sensors with different functions can be individually combined behind a common touch panel. Available touch devices include touch light switches, touch dimmers, touch momentary switches, and touch blind controls.
- 230V input and output voltage.
- Phase-cut and phase-switching dimmer.
- For resistive and inductive loads = dimmable LED lamps 3-160W, 3-220W incandescent and halogen lamps, dimmable toroidal transformers for low-voltage halogen lamps 20-220W, dimmable electronic transformers for low-voltage halogen lamps 20-220W, dimmable CFL lamps ("energy-saving lamps") 3-220W. Max. input: 7.6 mA. Integrated LED, blue, constantly illuminated.
2-Way or 3-Way Switching:
2-Way Switching Example: A ceiling light can be dimmed from 2 spatially separated dimmers.3-Way Switching Example: A ceiling light can be dimmed from 3 or more spatially separated dimmers.
One touch dimmer (only 1 device) can be connected to any number of momentary switches. Each connected momentary switch then functions as a "slave switch" and behaves like the touch dimmer.
Important: Please note that a momentary switch is not an on/off switch. A momentary switch only emits a current pulse.
Momentary Switches that Can Be Used:
- Touch Momentary Switch 230V. Product No. 01.99.04.011
- Any momentary switch of mechanical construction
Why Are Three Wires Required?
The neutral wire (N) is necessary to supply power to the touch sensor itself. Many electronic switches and sensors require a continuous power supply to function, which is achieved by connecting to both the live and neutral wires. The live wire (L) provides the necessary voltage to switch the load (e.g., a lamp).
The switching wire (L' or L-out) is required to connect the live wire to the load when the touch sensor is activated. Without this wire, the sensor would not be able to switch the lamp on or off.
