Touch sensor switch 230V (switchable for button function)

Product information "Touch sensor switch 230V (switchable for button function)"

Product Information

Touch Sensor: On/Off Switch 230V (switchable for push-button function)

High-quality 230V touch sensor, touch-activated light switch. Allows for easy replacement of traditional 230V rocker switches.

Integrated relay. For switching all light sources/consumers such as LEDs, transformers, halogen lamps, energy-saving lamps, incandescent bulbs, etc.
The device remains hidden behind the touch panel and reliably and quickly responds to finger proximity. A gentle touch is enough.

Made in the EU. Warranty: 5 years (see warranty statement). VDE certified. Proven technology, thousands of times and over many years.

Installation / Technology

Installation in standard round flush-mounted or hollow wall boxes. Required depth of the wall box: at least 45 mm. 3-wire connection: Neutral wire required. Max 6A. Integrated LED, blue permanently on. Very low self-consumption in standby mode: 24 mA @ 230Vac (0.6 W) The integrated relay can be switched off, turning the switch into a push-button (see changeover/cross-switching). 230V input and output voltage. Per wall box, one touch sensor can be placed in the centre, or two touch sensors side by side. Various touch sensors with different functions can be combined behind a common touch panel. Available are touch light switches, touch dimmers, touch buttons, touch blind controllers.

Operation

A short touch turns the light on or off.

Changeover/Cross-Switching

Example changeover switching: A ceiling lamp can be switched from 2 spatially separated switches. Example cross-switching: A ceiling lamp can be switched from 3 or more spatially separated switches.

One touch switch (only 1 device) is connected to any number of buttons. Each connected button thus becomes a "secondary switch" and behaves like the touch switch.

Suitable Buttons Include:

  • This touch switch, switched to push-button mode by deactivating the integrated relay. Product No. 01.99.04.010
  • Touch push-button 230V. Product No. 01.99.04.011
  • Any mechanical push-button

Why Are Three Wires Needed?

  • The neutral wire (N) is necessary so that the touch sensor itself can be powered. Many electronic switches and sensors require continuous power, which is provided by connecting to the phase and neutral wire.
  • The phase (L) provides the necessary voltage to switch the load (e.g. a lamp).
  • The switch wire (L' or switched L) is needed to connect the phase to the load when the touch sensor is activated. Without this wire, the sensor could not turn the lamp on or off.
